On Thursday, July 4, Tumwater’s annual Independence Day Parade will result in several road closures and restricted access along the parade route from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The affected roads include Capitol Boulevard, Israel Road, Linderson Way SW, and West Lee Street.
8:30 a.m. (Parade Staging Area): Linderson Way SW will be closed from Israel Road to West Lee Street/Capitol Boulevard. Only emergency vehicles will have access.
10:30 a.m. (Parade Route): Capitol Boulevard will be closed from West Lee Street to Israel Road, and Israel Road will be closed from Capitol Boulevard to Linderson Way.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes, as vehicular access to properties along the parade route will be restricted until 1:00 p.m., when all streets will reopen.
