The City of Olympia announced the Olympia Fall Arts Walk 2024 Innovation Award recipients, a news release stated Tuesday.

The award honors organizations and artists who have demonstrated outstanding excellence and innovation in community engagement through the arts.

The city recognized five honorees for their creative contributions to Arts Walk this season: Cup of Swords Tavern, Death Dancer, Last Word Books, Rhythm's Coffee, and the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.

Cup of Swords Tavern & Black Rune Creations Gift Shop is an up-and-coming renaissance-themed bar in downtown Olympia featuring local musicians, performers, and artisans.

Death Dancer hosts art and culture events related to life and death, initiated after founder Jennie Beth Banks experienced gas poisoning.

Independent bookstore and small press publisher Last Word Books and Press is the home of the Olympia Zine Library. It also has a blend of used, new, and weird books.

Rhythm’s Coffee, a coffee shop and music venue in the Pacific Northwest, prides itself in offering live music, open mics, and talent.

The Washington Center for the Performing Arts partners with artists and numerous community entities to host over 250 annual events and meetings.
