Eye on Nature trips this spring for kids at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge

Volunteers wanted, training scheduled on March 27 and April 2

The Nisqually River Council’s Nisqually River Education Project (NREP) will host Eye on Nature, an environmental field trip for kids.

The walks will be around the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, where kids can learn more about local ecology and inspire them to be the next generation of stewards in the Watershed.

Volunteers are also needed to help lead wildlife mapping and ethnobotany walks around the Refuge.

As a volunteer, you will help students connect with a citizen science project, learn and teach ethnobotany, and share your love of the outdoors with the next generation.

Interested individuals can select on either the March 27 or April 2 training session.

Nature-minded volunteers can stick around after the training to learn about plant identification, bird identification, refuge history, and more!
