THURSTON COUNTY –– As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, candidate Caroline Mejia was in the lead for the Thurston County Board of Commissioners seat for District #1, which encompasses central Thurston County. She held 30.78 percent of the vote, or 4,525 votes, as of just after 8 p.m.
