The Washington State Department of Transportation announced in a press release that it created an online open house seeking comments about the section of I-5 that runs through Thurston County, from Exit 99 in Tumwater to Exit 116 in DuPont.

The Washington State Department of Transportation has created an online open house focusing on operations and intersection improvements on and off I-5 from Exit 99 in Tumwater to Exit 116 in DuPont. The strategies are a result of the Planning and Environmental Linkages study.

Community members with ideas on how to improve commutes and environmental conditions in the Interstate 5 corridor running through Thurston and Pierce Counties can provide feedback through an online open house that launched on Mon., March 14.

Open house participants will get to view strategies, including potential road widening projects, increased vehicle capacity, and improved resiliency on outlying state highways.

Community members can provide feedback until Monday, March 28, at www.engage.wsdot.wa.gov.

Those who wish to participate but have no broadband service can access wi-fi for free at the following locations:

  • Lacey Timberland Library, 500 College Street, SE, Lacey, WA 98503
  • Hawks Prairie Timberland Library, 8205 Martin Way, Suite B, Lacey, WA 98516
