Tacoma Summer Fest 2023, Saturday, August 12
This year, the Tacoma Summer Fest will be returning to Point Ruston. This one-day event will feature great handmade makers from the Pacific North West, fabulous food trucks, and a gorgeous waterfront view. Tenino Arts Creative Market, Saturday, August 12, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The Tenino Arts Creative Market is nestled in the Creative District of historic Tenino and comes to life on the 2nd Saturday, June through September. This fine art, fine craft street fair gathers artisans skilled in wood, glass, metal, leather, paint, and a sundry of other unique and original creations. Splash Gallery 12-Year Anniversary Celebration, Saturday, August 12, 3 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Splash is one of Olympia's premier art galleries, established in 2011 to promote artistic expression in the community. They offer a vibrant selection of local fine art, including oils pastels, watercolor, jewelry, glass, ceramics, photography, wood turning, pyrography, textile art, and more. Join them on August 12 from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. for a reception with live music from Ross Matteson, sips and savors, fun prizes, and surprises for our patrons. The dockside window will feature the anniversary theme "12 x 12," celebrating the signature artistic styles of the amazing artists and its 12 years at Percival Landing! Imagination Library of Washington Day with Dolly Parton, Tuesday, August 15, from 2:30 p.m.
On August 15, philanthropist Dolly Parton will visit Washington State to celebrate achieving statewide coverage of the Imagination Library. All Washington children from birth to age five can now register to receive one book every month, for free, from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. August 15 will also be signified by a proclamation from Governor Jay Inslee and Lieutenant Governor Denny Heck as "Imagination Library of Washington Day."
