Voters elect Clouse Thurston County commissioner

With 11,000 votes left to count, other ballot positions can't be called

With an estimated 11,000 ballots left to be counted, it is too early to declare winners in  any of the 76 other races or the proposition to increase the sales tax.

As of today, election workers counted 61,916 ballots, which represent the voters of 31.47% of the registered voters in Thurston County.

Emily Clouse secured one of two new seats on the Board of County Commissioners, with a lead of 12,510 more votes than Terry S. Ballard.  

Here are the results updated tonight at 4:48 p.m. by the Thurston County Auditor:

    The BoCC race in the fifth was actually over on Tuesday. Terry Ballard would have had to garner 73% of the remaining uncounted votes to get elected. At that time he was running at about 40%.
