An allegedly intoxicated woman drove into a ditch near Maytown on Thursday, August 12 at approximately 3:20 p.m.

Nancy Rector, 52, of Vancouver, allegedly drove her Kia sedan into a deep ditch and was unable to drive it out when Thurston Deputies arrived. According to the police report, Rector smelled of intoxicating beverages; an empty can of Bud Light Chelada beer was observed on the floor of the front passenger side of the vehicle.

Rector admitted to not having any insurance on the vehicle. According to the Thurston County Sheriff's Office report, Rector also slurred her words.

Rector blew a .233 on the preliminary breathalyzer test, admitting that she had been charged with a DUI in the past. Her license was also suspended and she did not have a required interlock device on her vehicle’s ignition.

At the Thurston County jail Rector blew a 0.210 into the Draeger breath meter, almost three times the legal limit of 0.08. Rector was booked into the Thurston Jail for driving under the influence.
