Thurston County Narcotics Task Force arrested a 17X felon for alleged possession and distribution of illegal narcotics along with illegal firearm possession in the vicinity of College Street SE in Lacey on Thursday, March 21.
According to the news release, the suspect arrested by the Thurston County Narcotics Task Force was currently out on bail for a previous drug-related charge involving a firearm.
With 17 prior convictions to his name, the suspect's current charge prohibits him from possessing firearms. Still, despite this, the suspect was found in possession of a weapon during this latest arrest.
Authorities were tipped off to the suspect's illegal activities shortly after his release from custody following a previous arrest by the task force.
The task force’s operation resulted in the seizure of a substantial quantity of illegal substances, including 1.4 pounds of methamphetamine, 1 pound of fentanyl pills, four ounces of heroin, as well as cannabis.
Law enforcement also confiscated digital scales, packing materials, and $31,800 in cash.
The suspect has been booked back into Thurston County Jail for new charges on top of his existing charges.
“The Narcotics Task Force remains committed to dismantling and disrupting the deadly flow of fentanyl being distributed by armed drug dealers throughout our county,” Thurston County Narcotics Task Force stated.

And someone gave this felon bail?? What in the world is the judge thinking? Seventeen felonies and he's walking around free?
"Rehabilitation" doesn't work, not with people like this. I don't really care how he was treated as a child or is homeless or poor. He's not poor, not with 31K in CASH. I've never seen that much money in my life, never mind in my possession.
Put him in prison and keep him there. He's not going to change. He's not going to listen to ''counseling". He's a career criminal and needs to be behind bars.

As an arrestee his name is a public record. Why is this subject's name being withheld? How about making the public aware of exactly who he is. A little awareness among the law abiding citizens of just who the "cancer" in our midst is . . . . maybe even some community "shaming" would go a long way in raising awareness of the criminal element that moves among us unidentified.
