South Puget Sound Community College (SPSCC) welcomes twelve faculty members as it starts the academic year 2024-25, a news release stated Wednesday.
The new full-time tenure-track faculty members, their assignments, and their educational background are listed below.
Liona Burnham, English Professor
Burnham received a Master of Arts in English from Western Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Journalism from Whitworth College.
Kenneth Cheng, Nursing Professor
Cheng received a Master of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University.
Kaylee Harrington, Outreach & Instruction Librarian
Harrington received a Master of Library and Information Studies from Texas Woman’s University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Dayton.
Tania Jareen, Computer Information Systems/Computer Science Professor
Jareen received a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Wichita State University.
Mia Johnstone, Business Professor
Johnstone received a Master of Business Administration from California State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of California, Davis.
Anthony Kennish, Automotive Professor
Kennish received an Associate’s Degree in Auto/Diesel Technology from Universal Technical Institute.
Dr. Sanjay Lanka, Business Professor
Dr. Lanka received a Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting from the University of Essex, a Master of Research in Accounting from the University of Essex, a Master of Business Administration from Missouri State University and a Bachelor of Engineering from Osmania University.
Li Li, Nursing Professor
Li received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chengde Medical University, China.
Juan Menjívar, Spanish Professor
Menjívar earned a Master of Science in Spanish from Georgetown University, a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an Associate of Arts from Victor Valley College.
Shana Parker, Nursing Professor
Parker received a Master’s in Nursing and a Bachelor’s in Nursing from California State University, Chico.
Lars Stranger, Computer Information Systems/Computer Science Professor
Stranger received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology.
Aimee Wagonblast, Nursing Professor
Wagonblast received a Master of Nursing from the University of Washington.
