Sapp Road and RW Johnson closed in Tumwater – downed power lines

Posted

Tumwater is warning motorists to avoid Sapp Road and RW Johnson.

According to the city in a Facebook post, the two roads are currently closed while crews from Puget Sound Energy are working on lines along the roads to restore energy. The area can still be accessed via Bush Mountain.

“Let’s give the crews room to work—please do not drive around the barricades,” the city requested.

Puget Sound Energy (PSE) also said in its Facebook post, “A new round of strong winds and heavy rain caused additional scattered power outages across our service area overnight.”

PSE also expects that with today’s calmer weather, that significant progress will have been made restoring power today, “Crews will continue to work around the clock until power is back on for all customers.”

No offence, but the article says that you can only enter the area to access Bush Mountain, not the other way around. There is no outlet for the Bush Mountain area other than Sapp/Johnson.
