The workshop will focus on the basics of pruning various ornamental plants. The following will be covered: Pruning tools, different pruning cuts (good and bad ones), the steps of pruning, and the methods of pruning for trees, shrubs, and multi-stem plants. Resources will be provided.
Participants will be walking throughout the park discussing and demonstrating different pruning techniques. The level of activity is light. The surfaces will be paved, gravel, and grass. No need to bring any tools. Participants will be outside for the duration of this presentation. Please plan clothing and footwear accordingly.
