Olympia's American Legion Band - Music in the Park

It will be an early evening of music, as DAR and the American Legion Band invite the public to an old-fashioned band concert in this, the band's 100th year with talented musicians based in Olympia. Also, a special nod is given to John Philip Sousa in the 125th-year commemoration of our official national march, 'The Stars and Stripes Forever,' which he wrote in 1896. DAR American History Essay Award winner Caleb Mason of East Olympia Elementary School will read his essay on the march and John Philip Sousa.
