Olympia World Affairs Council Speaker Series:

Jeff Birkenstein, Ph.D., Saint Martin's University professor will speak about his experience traveling the world in search of great food and good stories, both universal ways of bringing people together. He will focus on his more than two decades of teaching food and fiction, from right here in Lacey, Washington at Saint Martin’s University to Inner Mongolia, China to teaching as a Fulbright Scholar in Petrozavodsk, Russia. In addition, Jeff will talk about the Fulbright opportunities and the steps it takes to apply to become a Fulbright Scholar.
 
Doors open at 7 p.m., the program begins at 7:30 p.m.
