Posted

Bikers are set to gather in Olympia this Saturday, December 2, to participate in the 45th Annual Olympia Toy Run.

“The Olympia Toy Run is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and Washington State charitable organization.  Our mission is to bring people together for a very worthy cause.... the joy of a child receiving a gift during the holiday season, explained Toy Run secretary/treasurer, Jen "Bad Kitty" Dempsey. “We collect toys and money to benefit children and families in need in our community during the holiday season and throughout the entire year.”

Dempsey added that they work together with agencies such as the Salvation Army Corps of Olympia through their Toy and Joy program, a program that helps to ensure hundreds of lower-income families in our community have an opportunity to have gifts for their children.

“I love working with the other members of the Olympia Toy Run because of their passion to help kids and others who support our cause,” Dempsey remarked.

The Olympia Toy Run is one of the “largest and long-standing ones in the west,” shared Dempsey.
