Mural Dedication for "Ravens Chasing the Moon"

The community is invited to the dedication of Sarah Folden's new work in Olympia, "Ravens Chasing the Moon."

This dedication will include a traditional opening blessing & song, speakers, food & drink, as well as a commemorative program.

This mural project was led by Sarah Folden and assisted by Chehalis artist Jenee Redecker, together they led a team of Indigenous youth apprentices to create this public artwork in the contemporary Coast Salish style. We hope this project is the initial mural in a series titled "Salish Stories: A Public Art Series of Murals & mentorship," intended to use public art and relationship-building to create more visual recognition of the historic Cowlitz Trail.
