Joint Animal Services offers adoption gift certificates as Easter gifts

Posted

Joint Animal Services encourages pet lovers to purchase an adoption gift certificate that community members can use for themselves or as a gift to loved ones instead of getting animals more traditionally associated with Easter, such as bunnies and chicks.

“Each spring, adorable bunnies and fuzzy chicks often find their way into Easter baskets, bringing joy and excitement to many families celebrating Easter, Animal Services explained. “Unfortunately, as they grow, many of these Easter pets become unwanted, or owners are unable to care for them.”

In some neighborhoods, regulations may prohibit keeping these types of pets, adding complications to the situation.

The certificate allows the bearer to pick and adopt a pet “that fits their lifestyle and speaks to their heart” from the shelter.
