Kathy’s classes are held in person at the Gore-Fuss Studio which is located in the Northeast neighborhood of Olympia, WA. Kathy’s teaching, mentoring, and consulting are offered from September through the beginning of May. Her strength as a teacher is designed to help all of her students learn a variety of methods to build skills and techniques, embrace experimentation with materials and ideas, and offer supportive feedback in a trusting, nurturing atmosphere. In this 7-week session, students will create a guided project using a variety of materials and mediums. Painting and drawing will be incorporated into each class, and seasonal/holiday projects with be intertwined throughout the course of a session as appropriate. All materials are included in the cost of the session. Drop-in classes are available based on remaining class space and must be paid prior to the drop-in day.
