Edward James Pilcher was born on Jul. 29, 1984. his family fondly called him Little Ed to differentiate him from his dad. He was a quiet, soft-spoken toddler who enjoyed Matchbox cars and Sesame Street. He had long golden curls as a toddler and was often dressed in handmade outfits that his mother sewed.

As a young child, Little Ed spent a lot of time driving his Bigfoot Monster truck around the yard. This is also when his love for Nintendo began. He played Nintendo regularly sitting on the floor of his living room, and would often beat games even at his young age. He also loved watching wrestling on TV and this would continue throughout his life.

As a teenager, Little Ed became Ed to some and Edge to others. He put so much feeling and love into his friendships and relationships. He was extremely affectionate and not afraid to show his feelings. He valued friends and genuinely cared for people deeply. His passion for music started at this time and enjoyed a variety of different bands such as The Beatles, AC/DC, ICP, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Marilyn Manson, Jimi Hendrix, and of course, Nirvana.

As a young adult, Ed or Edge became Eddie. He decided to pursue his lifelong dream of moving to Seattle. He overcame many obstacles to make his lifelong dreams into reality and worked hard to accomplish the goals he set for himself. He created a YouTube channel called Eddie Explores, producing tours of the local Seattle area. He was an active member of online gaming communities, where he would show his skills to others. he became a world record holder on Twin Galaxies on various Nintendo games. He also became a furry, purchasing his beloved Reptar costume, and thoroughly enjoyed going to conventions and gatherings where everyone felt a sense of belonging.

As an adult, Ed became more focused on family and his place in it. he was eager to learn about where he came from, what his family’s history was, and also began thinking about a possible future with a family of his own.

On Feb. 3, Eddie left this world due to an aggressive form of lung cancer. He was unaware that he had it and his battle lasted only a week. He left this world surrounded by his mother Cindy, father Ed, sister Staci, and best friend Crystal.

If you knew him, whether as Little Ed, Ed, Edge, or Eddie, you knew he was an old soul, who felt deeply. He made you laugh, made you cry, made you smile, made you even shake your head sometimes. He followed his own path but invited anyone willing to join him.

Burial performed by Forest Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2501 Pacific Avenue SE, Olympia WA 98501.
