Thurston County Public Works has announced a road closure on Country Club Road NW, stretching from Country Club Loop NW to 40th Lane NW starting Monday, July 22, until September 30.
The work includes removing an outdated culvert and replacing it with a new bridge over Green Cove Creek.
This project aims to improve fish passage and overall ecosystem health in Green Cove Creek and, with the new bridge, enhance road safety for the local community.
During this period, construction teams will excavate over 20,000 cubic yards of earth from the existing road site to make way for the new bridge structure.
Construction activities will run from Monday through Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., though these hours may be adjusted in response to weather conditions or other unforeseen factors.
In preparation for the closure, warning signs and reader boards will be installed along Country Club Road NW.
Residents and regular commuters are encouraged to allow extra travel time or find alternative routes during construction.
