Capitol Land Trust's Summer Social

Posted by capitollandtrust

Join a social event to continue celebrating 100 conservation successes!

On a summer afternoon, you’ll stroll Albee’s gardens, sip on a glass of wine or beer, and eat hors d’oeuvres, while catching up with old (and new!) friends. You will also be able to connect with board members and chat with staff.

Attendees will gather on the lawn later in the afternoon, to hear from Executive Director Dave Winter who will lead in celebrating recent successes and share plans for the future and current program updates. A request for donations will be made—all donations will support a mission to conserve, care for, and share the lands we all love.

More details:
•Dress for a summer evening outside, with spots of shade. There is no large, shaded area. The event will happen rain or shine (though we hope for sunshine!)
•A selection of hors d’oeuvres will be available, guests can self-select based on dietary needs. A full meal will not be provided. Non-alcoholic beverages as well as beer and wine will be available.
•No pets please, as you may encounter cats, chickens, or other animals while strolling the garden.
•Must be age 21 or over to attend.
•Please carpool.
•ADA-compliant bathrooms are available. The grounds are all grass and have sloping hills and gardens to navigate around. Various seating arrangements will be available, mostly folding chairs and lawn chairs, as well as tables for standing access.

Capitol Land Trust strategically conserves vital natural areas within the south Puget Sound watersheds and Chehalis Basin. They prioritize properties with estuaries, marine shorelines, wetlands, rivers riparian areas, and associated forests because of the crucial role they play in supporting the health and vitality of wildlife habitats as well as communities. The high standard of their work has earned national accreditation by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission.

Natural open spaces and properly functioning ecosystems are essential to the exceptional
quality of life we enjoy in our region. CLT is working to keep it that way. Forever.
