While I can gather many of the suggested materials needed for disaster preparedness, there always will be several crucial items missing: my prescription medications. There is currently no way to renew my medications two-weeks early to create a stockpile. Depending on the medication, my prescriptions can be renewed only 3-5 days prior to them running out. That’s the reality for millions of Americans, including who knows how many people right here in Thurston County. For those without insurance the situation is even more dire.
