We do not need any government agency who uses fees to avoid state limits on tax increases. This appears to be a fraud / scam to raise money using fees. When the litigation against this unlawful fee raising scheme instead of routine taxes occur, the Cities will hire outside attorneys to defend their actions and the tax payer will pay the cost of the litigation. The could well be in the $100,000.00 all because of the bait and switch scheme to avoid state law on tax increases.
If anything a combined regional department should save money by reducing duplication of administrative staff and equipment. But no, instead the Cities are intent on raising taxes disguised as fees.
No wonder the taxpayer is filled with animosity toward government.
