Thank you. Well said! Whatever it's called something definitely needs to happen, this is beyond crazy. While at it, it would be nice to see what's being touted as "affordable housing " were truly affordable, not just another way to sell us all out to the highest market rate developer who is willing to allow for a few so called "affordable" to be part of their empire. They are picking the people's pockets to give these developers MFTE permits and developers are laughing all the way to the bank while homelessness is on the rise. Our city council's use BS language like "it's complex and complicated " as a way to bow out of meeting the people's needs, while finding every way possible to not do what we need them to do: pave the way for deeply affordable housing and make it harder to bring housing prices up by building for imagined future incomes. The people living in any city making it what it is (without workers commerce would be moot) should always be able to stay and afford quality housing. What would happen if "workforce" (I personally find this term insulting) just refused to work until they were treated with respect around housing. Nobody should have to drive more than a very short distance to go to a low or medium paid job just to make wealthy people happy. Shameful!
