The legislature passed laws about what educators must teach and then failed to fully fund the schools. The Republican (John Braun) led 2017 McCleary funding fix was a failure. Quit getting mad at teachers who are teaching what the law demands. You want just plain reading, writing and arithmetic, but what about bullying that leads to suicide in children or teaching children how to report *** abuse by a family member.
