Having been a long time Democrat, I have been very disappointed in the present administration. While they profess to be concerned about the environment and climate change, their actions on clearcutting our legacy forests leave much to be desired. No amount of emails or demonstrations have swayed them from this madness. The only explanation can be that they are in the pockets of the forest industry. Thank goodness Hilary Franz is leaving and we have a candidate who promises to change things. Please vote for Dave Upthegrove for Lands Commissioner in November. This degradation on the environment gas gone on too long. The DNR has been trying to make sure we don't have any more old growth( which protect the climate and wildlife dependent on them) in the future.
It is time for change.
