South Sound Climate Action Convention (OLYMPIA)

The convention provides an opportunity for the community to come together and discuss the current state of climate planning and progress in Thurston County. There will be a review on the progress of the Thurston Climate Mitigation and Resilience plans.

Growing Plant Communities: Guilds and Companion Planting (OLYMPIA)
Saturday, May 17, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Join the event to learn how to create relationships between plants to enhance ecological functions and yields! Instructor Marisha Auerbach has over two decades of experience with creating polycultures of plants in home gardens, community gardens, orchards and common spaces.

Join the Olympia Youth Council for games, activities, ice cream and information on how to apply to be a member of the Olympia Youth Council.

Lacey Spring Fun Fair (LACEY)

Enjoy two days of free rides, world activities for kids and live entertainment, plus shop from more than 70 artisan and commercial vendors, and food vendors!

In honor of Historic Preservation Month, free tours of historic downtown Olympia will be offered. This year's theme is "Power of Place."

Music in the Park (OLYMPIA)
Sunday, May 18, 12-2 p.m.
The Olympia Peace Choir, The Olympia Peace Singers and Treble Voices for Peace will gather to perform their final concert of the season, Music in the Park. The choirs are grateful recipients of Olympia’s Inspire Olympia Grant 2024-25.

SOGO Spring Concert (OLYMPIA)
Sunday, May 18, 4-6 p.m.
Join SOGO in embarking on a musical journey with the Conservatory Orchestra performing Dvořák’s lively Polka for Prague Students, followed by the enchanting Andante and Rondo Ongarese by Carl Maria von Weber, featuring the virtuosity of senior clarinetist Diego Cortes-Monroy.
