TYT Reads, February 24, from 7 p.m.
TYT Reads performances are one night only, script in hand, full-length shows. They use minimal props and set pieces, while still creating a theatre experience. Catch two plays, “Beautiful” and “Love at First Sight” for this performance night. Click this link for more details. 

Astoria’s Fisher Poet Festival, February 24-25
This is the first overnighter of 2023, which will center around the lively cultural experience known as the Fisherpoets Gathering!  Participants will travel south by way of Raymond and visit the impressive Carriage Museum, before continuing into charming and historic Astoria for lunch and a chance to explore the downtown venues. Everyone will then check in for one night at the Best Western Astoria Bayfront Hotel, before heading back downtown for the festivities. Click this link for more details. 

Free Dental Screening for Kids, February 25, 2 - 4 p.m.
Each February, Hands On Children Museum promotes healthy smiles by joining the dental community to offer free dental screenings right inside the Museum! The free screening is available on Feb. 25 from 2–4 p.m. Museum admission is also free with the screening. Reservations required. Click this link for more details. 

Gangspil: A Danish concert, February 26, 2 - 4 p.m.
Popular Danish fiddler, Kristian Bugge, and accordionist Sonnich Lydom will take participants on a journey through the traditions of Danish folk music.  These lively musicians perform old dance tunes and songs from every corner of their Scandinavian home country. From rural islands like Læsø to the metropol Copenhagen, including a few of their own compositions. Expect everything from wild polkas and jigs to lyrical waltzes, fiery reels, and happy hopes. Plus the exotic “Sønderhoning” dance tunes from the famous Island of Fanø and long-forgotten songs from all over the country. They perform and have performed with some of the most exciting and well-known musicians from the Danish and Nordic folk scene. Click this link for more details. 

House of Mirth musical, March 4-5 and 10-11, from 2 p.m.
House of Mirth is based on Edith Wharton's novel of the same title. The main character, Lily Bart, is the center of the New York elite. Surrounded by wealth and its trappings, she is penniless and looking for love...and a husband. Unfortunately, love and a husband don't come in the same person in this society. House of Mirth follows the material girl turned pillar of morality as she is swallowed up by the cruel reality of her own society. Click this link for more details. 

13th Annual Olympia Dance Festival, March 4, from 7 p.m.
The 2023 Olympia Dance Festival features 17 dance groups from throughout Western Washington. This year will feature guest artist Jason Rodgers. The program will feature ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, jazz, Irish dance, Chinese dance, ballroom, musical theatre, and more!   The show also features a special guest appearance by Teaching Artists from Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia – Cameron May, conductor.
