A wanted man, who escaped pursuit in Centralia, was arrested after a car chase ended in Tenino on Sunday, Oct. 19.
A Thurston County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted the vehicle he was driving toward Tenino after receiving information it fled from Centralia police at 8 p.m. on Sunday.
When the deputy attempted to pull the driver over, the suspect made a U-turn, which led to a pursuit, said Thurston County Sheriff Derek Sanders in a social media post
Another deputy deployed spike strips to stop the vehicle. As the car continued northbound toward Interstate 5, one of its wheels detached, forcing the suspect to stop and surrender to authorities.
The driver was identified in arrest records as 51-year-old Trevor Ryan Todd. Deputies recovered a significant quantity of counterfeit currency and several false identification documents from the vehicle.
Investigators later determined the suspect was wanted for various misdeeds.
“The suspect had multiple warrants out for their arrest up and down the I5 corridor, to include theft 3rd, theft 1st, forgery (multiple counts), theft of a motor vehicle (multiple counts), and ID theft (multiple counts),” said Sanders in his social media post.
Authorities have also linked Todd to a recent fraud case that occurred in Tumwater the previous day.
He was transported to Thurston County Corrections Facility and booked on multiple charges: attempt to elude pursuing police vehicle, forgery, possession of fictitious identification and third-degree driving while license suspended.
