US 12 through Grand Mound to be closed overnight next Wednesday for road marking of roundabout

Posted

Grand Mound's US 12 from Pecan Street SW to Old Highway 99 SW/Elderberry Street SW will be closed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, until the following day. This affects Grand Mound, Rochester, Chehalis Village, and the surrounding areas.

According to Thurston County's press release, the road will undergo pavement marking at its Sargent Road roundabout intersection, with detours being put in place to redirect traffic.

“The residents and businesses of Grand Mound, Rochester, and the surrounding area rely on US 12 daily to access services, jobs, and more,” Olympia explained. “Drivers are reminded to follow posted speed limits and use caution while driving in work zones.”

As this site is 15 miles south of the Olympia City Limits, it is doubtful the project information came from the City of Olympia. Perhaps WSDOT?
