Underground utility work leads to traffic lane restrictions in Tumwater

Traffic restrictions are going to impact motorists traveling on Kingswood Drive at Littlerock Road SW in Tumwater for the next week.

The restrictions, which took effect on Tuesday, Jan. 20, are needed while a private contractor completes work on underground utilities, said the City of Tumwater in a construction notice and traffic alert.

The work is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Jan. 20, Thursday, Jan. 22, Monday, Jan. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 27

"While work is underway, lane shifts will reduce traffic to a single lane through the roundabout at Kingswood and Littlerock Road. Traffic control and flaggers will be in place to assist motorists through the work zone," the construction notices and traffic alert states.

Motorists are advised to plan for delays or use alternate routes. Road construction projects are subject to change due to weather, equipment and project delays.
