The Olympia Film Society OFS, Palestinian Action of South Sound (PASS), and Rachel Corrie Foundation will present a bake sale and fundraiser on September 8, along with two feature films for Palestinian children in Gaza and the West Bank.
The show will feature two films, Imprisoning a Generation (50 min) and Returning to Zarnouqua (14 min), starting at 7 p.m. Following the showing, director Zelda Edmunds will answer questions.
Therese Saliba (TESC professor of Political Economy, Environmental Justice, and Gender/ Queer studies) and Dr. Emily Antoon-Walsh (who has worked with children and healthcare workers in Palestine) are set to introduce the films, provide Palestine updates, and co-moderate the Q&A with Edmunds who will be video calling from Japan!
A suggested $10 donation is at the door, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Tickets are available at the box office 30 minutes before showtime.
All proceeds are directed to the Middle East Children’s Alliance, MECA For Peace.
