Two arrested in puppies theft

Posted

Two suspects have been charged with robbery in an incident involving the theft of three puppies, according to a post from the Olympia Police Department (OPD).

During the theft, which occurred during the week of June 23, the suspects allegedly sprayed their victims with bear spray, took the puppies, and fled the scene in a vehicle, according to the OPD. As the victims know the suspects, they provided the police with descriptions of both the suspects and the vehicle.

OPD credits deputies of Thurston County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) with assisting in tracking down the suspects vehicle at the registered owner's address, where they also found the puppies and the suspects. Both suspects were arrested, and all three puppies were safely returned to their owners.

The two suspects have been booked into Thurston County Jail on charges of first-degree robbery.
