Tumwater Parks and Recreation offers a range of programs that promise to keep kids and adults entertained and engaged this winter. 

Ascend Gymnastics Winter Camp 

For the young adventurers and aspiring gymnasts, Ascend Gymnastics of Olympia presents the Winter Camp, a week-long gymnastics camp from December 20-22 and December 27-29.  

Packed with games, gymnastics lessons, and free time to make new friends, this camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. daily.  

Parents are encouraged to send their campers with a lunch and extra snacks, although Ascend Gymnastics will provide two snacks per day.  

Each session caters for ages 5-10, with a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 4 participants per session.  

The fee for Session 1 or 2 is $262, and Session 3 is available at $98.

Winter Break Junior Golf Camp with The Golf Loft 

The Golf Loft presents an opportunity for young junior golfers to play, learn, and improve their skills from December 27-29, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.  

With PGA Coaches guiding the sessions, juniors aged 7-13 of all skill levels are welcome.  

The small group setting, with a maximum of 8 juniors per session, allows for more personalized coaching.  

Bring your golf clubs if you have them.  

Registration is available online with a registration fee of $150. 

Youth Arts Drop-Off  

While parents tackle holiday shopping or enjoy some downtime, Youth Arts Drop-Off provides a creative haven for kids aged 7-12.  

Under the guidance of instructor Britt Bowman, participants will explore various art activities on Thursday, December 21, from 1 to 4 p.m.  

The fee is $20, with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 participants.

Adult Enrichment and Recreation 

Tumwater Parks and Recreation offers a diverse array of enrichment, recreation, and fitness classes, catering to adults with various interests.  

From golf classes and painting workshops to indoor cornhole leagues and unique offerings like Taiko drumming and voice-over instruction, there's something for everyone.
