Traffic stop results in drug bust on Capitol Way S

A traffic stop for an alleged violation on Capitol Way S in Olympia turned into a drug bust that yielded more than 1 ounce of fentanyl and methamphetamine.
 
The incident occurred on Wednesday, April 2, the Olympia Police Department said in a social media post.
 
After the vehicle was pulled over, the driver was found to have a warrant for his arrest, the police department said.
 
Alleged drug paraphernalia was also visible in the vehicle. That resulted in newly trained narcotics K-9, Arco, being called to the scene.
 
After a search warrant was granted, Arco went to work.
 
"Officers recovered over 30 grams of fentanyl, 8 grams of meth, a scale, several small bags, a shotgun, and a rifle," the police deparment said.
 
"Great work, K9 Arco!"
 
The driver's name was not released by the police department.
