Traffic interruptions on State Avenue and East Bay Drive in Olympia tomorrow

Olympia warned of lang closures, flaggers directing traffic, and detours along State Avenue and East Bay Drive tomorrow as road work will be done to prepare for the road’s paving.

In a press release, the city provided tentative dates when the intersection will have work done and traffic will be interrupted.

• Wednesday, April 5 - Friday, April 7:  daytime construction
• Monday, April 10 - Tuesday, April 11:  nighttime construction
• Wednesday, April 12 - Thursday, April 13: full intersection closure. Paving is scheduled to begin at 10 p.m. Wednesday night and be completed by 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 13.

Motorists are advised to use alternate routes on those dates.

“The construction schedule is weather dependent and subject to change,” the city warned, adding that “Construction may last up to two weeks.”
