Tickets on sale for annual Nisqually River Float Trips

Posted
An opportunity to float along a scenic, 10-mile stretch of the Nisqually River opened on Wednesday, May 7.

Tickets for the annual Nisqually River Float Trips are now on sale for the float trips, which will take place on Saturday, June 21, and Sunday, June 22, the Nisqually Land Trust said in announcing the river trips.

"Join us to float a seldom-seen (10-mile) stretch of the middle reach and experience the natural beauty of the river from the water. This family-friendly, no-rapids rafting trip is rated for adults and children 60 pounds and up and is professionally outfitted and guided by Alpine Adventures," the Land Trust said.

"The trip will last from four to five hours, depending on river conditions, and includes a delicious catered riverbank lunch from Masonry Cafe. Rafting is the best way to see the Nisqually River's wild and scenic reaches, including many of the Land Trust's protected shoreline properties."

The cost is $180 per person. That includes rafting gear, professional rafting guides, lunch, and shuttle between the take-out and put-in. More details, including the meeting location, will be provided upon registration.

"Sales will be released via email and posted on our website calendar and homepage. In the event that tickets sell out, we encourage you to sign up for the waitlist," the Land Trust said.
