Thurston County Elections offering Observer Training for August Primary Election 

The Thurston County Auditor’s Elections Division will offer observer training for the August 6, 2024, Primary Election.  

The training session will be via Zoom on Thursday, July 18, at 5:30 p.m. 

To ensure transparency, ballot processing is overseen by trained observers from the Republican and Democratic parties, as well as independent observers.  

Observers will be able to ask questions to full-time elections staff but must ensure that ballot processing is not disrupted. 

The training session will cover election procedures and observer policies.  

While it is mandatory for party-appointed observers, the training is also open to the public.
