Community Planning & Economic Development (CPED) representatives met with Thurston’s Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) to discuss public comments and decide on projects related to the 2024-25 Comprehensive Plan and Development Code Dockets.
Docketing allows the board to review and establish a work program for plan and code amendments. CPED’s Community Planning Division facilitates and conducts the docketing process.
CPED Director Joshua Cummings, Interim Senior Planner Andrew Boughan, and Planning Manager Ashley Arai provided an overview of all proposed projects.
Staff gathered the board’s initial consensus about what projects to add to the official docket, hold and place on the preliminary docket, or remove.
If a project is added, it becomes official for the 2024-25 docket. If it is on hold, it is considered for future work in the preliminary docket. If it is removed, it is withdrawn from further consideration.
During the work session, the board added 9, held 3, and removed three projects on the Comprehensive Plan Docket.
