Calling all artists!

The Thurston County Board of County Commissioners invites residents and employees to showcase their creativity by participating in the Thurston County Art Contest.

With the theme "What Makes Thurston County Feel Like Home?", artists are encouraged to explore the essence of the community through various art forms including paintings, drawings, collages, prints, mixed media, digital art, photography, and sculpture.

“This theme provides an opportunity for artists to celebrate and showcase the diverse aspects of Thurston County that resonate with them personally, fostering a deeper appreciation for our shared home,” Thurston County Board of County Commissioners stated.

Applicants can fill out the form and, submit it together with their artwork at the Atrium at 3000 Pacific Ave SE, Olympia 98501 from May 27 to May 31.

A panel of judges from the Thurston County Board of County Commissioners will evaluate submissions across the three categories - youth, adults, and Thurston County employees.

Winners will be announced in June, with selected artwork potentially displayed at county offices for public viewing.
