Temporary detour on Tumwater Valley Drive for road connection work through June 28

Starting today and running through June 28, Tumwater Valley Drive will experience a temporary detour to facilitate pavement work connecting a new segment to the existing road.

On June 12, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., a barricade and detour sign will be placed at the end of E Street, redirecting traffic onto the new alignment of Tumwater Valley Drive.

This transition is expected to delay traffic for approximately two hours.

Detour signage will be installed on Capitol Boulevard to guide vehicles to the new route.

Once the pavement work is completed, all barricades and detour signs will be removed, and the new and old roadways will be open to traffic.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours and plan for possible delays during this period.
