Tumwater is warning motorists of traffic delays tomorrow, Thursday, September 21, along Kirsop Road SW from 54th Avenue SW to 70th Avenue SW, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
New pavement marking will be installed along the street, Tumwater explained in a press release.
“Pavement marking is a moving operation, the city added. “Drivers should watch for flashing lights, vehicles with message boards indicating ‘Caution: Wet Paint,’ and fresh-looking paint on the roadway.”
Drivers can prevent damage and avoid getting fresh paint on their vehicles by following these easy tips and driving cautiously in work zones.
Tumwater noted that the project is weather-dependent, and requires dry roads and warm weather conditions, adding that if the weather prohibits work, the schedule will be extended.
“Drivers should rinse or apply water as soon as possible after getting road stripe paint on any vehicle,” the city said. “More information on how to remove paint from a vehicle is on the City website. For additional assistance, please contact Public Works Operations at (360) 754-4150.”
