Road closure for installation of permanent pavement markings on the ramps at I5 near Tumwater

On Thursday, September 21, and Friday, September 22, significant closures are scheduled for the northbound Interstate 5 off–and–on ramps at Exit 102 to Trosper Road SW. These closures will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. and 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., respectively.

Detour routes will be provided via Exit 101 to Tumwater Boulevard or Exit 103 to Deschutes Way SW.

These ramp closures have been scheduled during the nighttime hours when traffic volumes are typically lower.

These closures are for the installation of permanent pavement markings on the ramps.

This construction work is part of the Capitol Boulevard Corridor Project, which aims to address traffic delays, enhance pedestrian safety, and improve mobility along Trosper Road SW from the I-5 overpass to Capitol Boulevard SW.

The Friday night closure may be unnecessary if work is completed Thursday night.
