Rincon again: rockets rock through window, is released at the scene

Posted

A man who has repeatedly been arrested on various charges, then released by Olympia Community Court without bail or sentence, allegedly threw a rock through a Jiffy Lube window on Mon., Aug. 16., at about 6:15 p.m.

Adan Rincon, 38, whose address is listed as “Olympia, Transient,” was witnessed heaving the rock, acting “visibly agitated, yelling and pointing fingers” at Olympia police officers as they drove into the Jiffy Lube parking lot to contact him. At this time, Rincon allegedly kicked over a sandwich board sign in front of the fuel station.

The damage to the window was estimated at $150.

Police say a witness told them that Rincon had run to the bus stop at the nearby McDonald’s, missed the bus, and started yelling, out of the control. According to the police report, he then threw the rock through the Jiffy Lube window, then walked down Harrison Ave NW, kicking and hitting things.

Rincon told OPD that he was sorry, that he gets angry and smashes things. Rincon was cited for property damage and released.

Rincon had appeared in community court less than a week prior (see related story) and was released without bail on several charges of vandalism and property damage, with the promise that he would not do it again.

Apparently, the store owners have to pay for all the damage he does. Too bad they don't have chain gangs any more.
