Rain in Thurston County forecast through the weekend

Another wet weekend is on tap for Thurston County with rain in the forecast through Sunday, Dec. 21.

The National Weather Service Office in Seattle is calling for an 80 percent chance of precipitation on Friday evening, Dec. 19, with an overnight low of 38 degrees. New precipitation amounts between one-tenth and one-quarter of an inch possible.

The chance of rain increases to 100 percent on Saturday, Dec. 20, with new precipitation amounts between one-quarter and one-half inch possible. The daytime high should be near 45 degrees with a south wind of 14 to 17 miles per hour (mph), and gusts as high as 25 mph.

There is a 90 percent chance of precipitation on Saturday evening, with new precipitation amounts between one-tenth and one-quarter inch possible. The overnight low should be around 40 degrees.

The chance of rain remains the same on Sunday, with new precipitation amounts between one-quarter and one-half inch possible. The daytime high should be near 45 degrees with a south wind around 11 mph.

The chance of rain increases to 100 percent on Sunday evening, with new precipitation amounts between one-tenth and one-quarter inch possible. The overnight low should be around 38 degrees.

There is a 90 percent chance of rain on Monday, Dec. 22. There is also a chance of rain throughout next week with rain and snow likely on Christmas night. Forecasts are subject to change.
