The Class of 2025 leaves Pope John Paul II High School with much to celebrate and even more to look forward to.
We are proud to share that 100 percent of this year’s graduating seniors have solidified their post-graduation plans, with each student heading to either a two-year college or a four-year university this fall. Their paths are as diverse as their passions, and they carry the values of JPII into the next chapter of their lives with confidence and purpose.
A commitment to faith-based education is also strong among this year’s graduates. An impressive 45 percent of the Class of 2025 will be attending a faith-affiliated university, and 40 percent will go on to study at Catholic universities, continuing their formation in mind, body, and spirit.
Collectively, the class was awarded more than $4.5 million in merit-based scholarships, a testament to their academic excellence, leadership, and character. Additionally, Luc Kondrat received a National Merit Letter of Commendation for academic achievement, and 12 members of the class earned the Washington State Honors Award, placing them in the top 10 percent of Washington's graduating seniors.
Beyond academics, the Class of 2025 demonstrated extraordinary dedication to service, logging more than 1,120 hours this year alone in support of marginalized and underserved communities. Their compassion and drive to make a difference reflect the mission of Pope John Paul II High School and the heart of servant leadership.
The Class of 2025 also achieved outstanding success beyond the classroom. Seniors contributed to JPII’s second-place finish at the State Knowledge Bowl, played a key role in the 1B State Champion Girls Track & Field Team, and Ariel Brewer successfully defended her state title in the 800-meter run — a remarkable accomplishment in Washington track and field.
This year, Adeline Hecht and Francis McGill were honored with the Bob Dowding Excellence Award, the highest recognition in the SeaTac League for student-athletes who embody selflessness, leadership, and service.
The Class of 2025 has left a lasting impact on the JPII community. As they prepare to take flight, we send them forth with pride, knowing they are ready to lead, serve, and soar.
