People who are passionate about environmental stewardship, agriculture or toxicology are being sought for positions on an advisory committee in Thurston County.
The Pest & Vegetation Management Advisory Committee is looking for three people to join up, the county said.
The committee reviews and makes recommendations to departments and programs affected by the county's pest and vegetation management policy, as appropriate, on the following:
- The pesticide review conducted by the Environmental Health Division.
- The pest and vegetation management programs developed by all departments and programs affected by this policy. The committee shall annually review any changes and assess progress in implementation of the programs.
- Proposed Integrated Pest Management prescriptions to be considered by the Board of Health.
- Any proposals or requirements to update this policy.
- Other assignments made by the Board of Health or Thurston County Board of County Commissioners.
