One of two suspects in an alleged armed robbery of a cannabis dispensary has been arrested, the Lacey Police Department announced Thursday.

The suspect, Montrell D. Hatfield, 16, was arrested by Tacoma police on Tuesday, April 19, in connection with an alleged armed robbery Monday in the Forbidden Cannabis store on Martin Way.

A search of the suspect’s home yielded “items of evidentiary value which definitively linked Hatfield to the Forbidden Cannabis robbery,” Lacey police said.

Police continue to search for the second suspect, pictured wearing a black mask, black hoodie, gray sweatpants, and black sneakers.

Those with information about the incident were urged to contact the Lacey Police Department at 360-459-4333 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).

Earlier, Lacey police said officers were dispatched on Monday April 18, to a report of an armed robbery at the Forbidden Cannabis store on Martin Way.

Two suspects allegedly entered the store then demanded money from the safe and registers.

One suspect fired a round from a handgun inside the store, police said. No injuries were reported.

The suspects fled the establishment before police arrived.
