Olympia punk act Bratmobile to headline South Sound Block Party in August

The South Sound Block Party on Aug. 22-23, 2025 will be headlined by Olympia punk rock icon Bratmobile. 

The annual community party is a gathering of musicians and music lovers produced by a local grassroots team. 

“We aim to help restore, preserve and contribute to the historic and legendary Olympia music scene for years to come,” the event’s website stated. 

The community event will feature regional, national and international music, while promoting local music and commerce at an accessible price. 

“We are an annual memory-maker, a summer highlight and will continue to work to be a source of pride for the local community,” stated the event's website. 

Performers 

Headliner Bratmobile, composed of trio Molly Neuman, Allison Wolfe and Erin Smith, pioneered the feminist punk rock movement dubbed “Riot Grrrl,” according to Static magazine.  

The second headliner is another punk rock legend L7, the act behind “Pretend That We’re Dead,” a top 10 radio smash. 

 Other performers include Thunderpussy, Team Dresch, Mihali, Mike Love, Souls Worn Thin, Sun Atoms, Midnight High, Luke Borchelt, Kate Dinsmore, Carlile Family Band, Temper, Coaster, The Bed Heads and Dannirose. 

 Event attendees may purchase the weekend general admission pass for $69 or the weekend VIP pass for $140.
