Not too late to take Tumwater virtual yoga classes

Posted

TUMWATER –– Tumwater yogis will enjoy virtual yoga classes, which the Tumwater Parks & Recreation Department has on this month’s schedule.

For those who want to continue to practice social distancing, adult yoga classes will be held online on Tuesdays. The holistic yoga flow class started June 2 and is geared towards increasing flexibility, strength, concentration and inner peace, according to a department newsletter. The fee is $50 and registration is still accepted as of June 12. The class ends June 30 and is held virtually on Tuesday nights from 6-7:15 p.m.

A similar class, Chair Yoga, also started earlier this month but will continue on Wednesday mornings from 10-11:00 a.m. through June 24. The fee is $40 and the class is still accepting registration. Chair Yoga is done seated, and is meant for those who have trouble balancing and getting off the floor.
